I’ve got a bigger question for in regards to inbound call attribution tracking. I have been struggling with this for a longer while now, also tested different software options (callrail in the past) and so far wildjar has generated the “best” results but still a major challenge. I'm braking down the situation below:   Inbound Call Attribution Tracking Problem Situation Companies running marketing campaigns across various paid and organic channels such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads (one first pain point: Bing Ads is not supported in Hubspot Ads) to attract leads/enquiries.   These campaigns drive traffic to the website. Then, the user can perform one of two conversion actions, a) submitting a contact form (Hubspot form) or b) make a phone call.   Using Hubspot’s native capabilities to track ad interactions and attribution (UTM data: Source/Medium/Campaign/Term mapped into HS default properties: Original Source/Original Source Drill-down 1/Original Source Drill-down 2) this works well for any new contact who’s conversion action was a Hubspot Form submission.   For phone calls however, attribution is not successful.   Case 1: Hubspot Number and Inbound Calls through Hubspot Pain 1 (biggest pain point): when the User creates a new contact through the inbound calls UI while on the call, original source and drill down 1 and 2 will show: Offline sources, CRM UI, Sales Rep name -> This means, all call attribution data is being lost from any Paid Ad source (but also organic sources). However, it’s crucial to understand attribution (source/medium/campaign/kw) data precisely for all conversion actions in order to optimise campaigns and media spend. Pain 2: The user answering the call through Hubspot can only answer the call from the web browser and only if the calling tab is open, but not the Hubspot mobile app Pain 3: Existing contacts with the same phone number aren’t being picked up automatically (HS also struggling with the same number formatted with and without country code at the beginning)   Case 2: Wildjar Call Tracking Software HS Integration (tried different other software options, but all with the same end result of not working) Pain 1 (biggest pain point): Wildjar HS native integration does not pass any attribution information into Hubspot. Even though Wildjar does have all this information stored. Instead a new contact is being saved as: First Name: Inbound Call from Google Ads from [phone number] Original Source: Offline Sources Drill Down 1: Integration Drill Down 2: WildJar Again, this does not help with reporting and optimisation of campaigns at all. Pain 2: Contact records only being created at the end of the call - This means, to capture any information from the call during the call in HS - there is no contact record existing to do that. And any manual contact creation, same as mentioned above, would have this information for source properties: Offline sources, CRM UI, user name.   Case 3: Wildjar + Zapier Using Zapier to pass correct attribution information (source/medium/campaign/kw) into Hubspot. The way it’s set up: User performs google search > user clicks paid result > user makes phone call > call ends > new call contact being created in Hubspot after call ends Pain 1 (biggest pain point): Hubspot automatically sets attribution information automatically as: Original source: Offline Sources Drill down 1: Integration Drill down 2: Zapier which is incorrect as we need to track the actual attribution (organic/paid and then campaign and kw or audience information) Pain 2: In order to pass the correct information (Source: Paid Search, Drilldown 1: Campaign Name, Drilldown 2: Paid Keyword), I need to manually create new custom properties and map attribution information in these. This then however leaves the HS default properties untouched and with false information. Then, I need to create separate reporting for Call contacts and Form Contacts due to different properties used for reporting. Pain 3: Contacts only get created when the call ends, which means, if I want to directly add information from the call into HS, I would need to manually create a contact and then afterwards merge with the Wildjar/Zapier Contact which is tedious. Pain 4: Related to the merging is, that due to HS only using Email Address as unique identifier, call and manual/form contacts don’t get updated automatically with one existing prior to the other.   Solution Required: When creating a new contact from a call within HS using the inbound call UI - obtaining the correct attribution information for both paid and organic sources. Receiving calls directly in Hubspot on both browser & mobile App. Automatically pulling up existing contact record if phone number is recognised in the database (secondary) At the moment, the most viable option is Case 3, and there, the recipient would make notes with pen and paper, and once the call is completed and created in HS, the user would transfer the notes from paper into Hubspot and update that contact manually (name, email, etc.) In saying all of the above - it is still a big struggle and not efficient nor effective.    Thanks for considering.  ...read more

Hello,   I am cleaning my company's template. I identified more than 700 unused templates thanks to the sales content analytics report.    I wanted to select those 700 from there and move them to a cleaning folder BUT that is imposible.   Result: I'll have to go one by one to place the folder in the template.   My request is simply to have the possibility to move the templates in a folder directly from the sales content analytics. From the index view on any object type, we can check boxes to select multiple records and a Bulk Actions menu appears:   Please add the ability to "Bulk Associate" records to this menu.   This should honor the association settings and limits defined on the object settings. For example, if Ticket associations are not enabled, the option to associate a Ticket record won't appear.    Or if there is a finite number of maximum associated records, it would prevent the user from exceeding it via the Bulk Associate action.   It would be even better to set Association Labels in this same manner or remove associations entirely.     ...read more

The aim is to synchronize leads (those generated with hubspot tools) with CRMs designed for the automobile industry. This synchronization can be done easily, simply by making it possible to send an automated e-mail following the submission of a form filled in by a lead in Auto-lead data format to a specific ADF address. (see point 5) 3. The value this would add is not measurable, it would enable automation and connectivity between sales and marketing tools for automobile companies using similar systems. 4. In preparation for an event or promotion, a landing page is created with a CTA directing to a form to generate a lead. It would be great if Hubspot had an in-built AI tool to adjust the english language on emails, landing pages etc. for different markets, such as, UK, Canada and US, who all use different variants of ENG words!  If this tool could use the country of the contact to alter the spelling, even better!  ...read more

HubSpot just released this great Beta: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-sync-properties   However, it lacks one critical functionality: these sync fields currently can not be used as mandatory fields.  Use case:  You have a field called delivery address on the primary associated company. Before the deal can be moved into Closed Won, that property must be populated. Making the sync property mandatory on the deal level forces the user to go to the company record and update it.  ...read more

When adding an attachment to a deal, that attachment should also be added/associated with the associated company and contact records.   I realize every deal can be unique but if a deal is associated to a company/contact record, every attachment should also be added to the associated records.   Example: When I upload an agreement to a deal, I should then be able to view that attachment from the associated company record and/or the associated contact record.     Potential Alternative:  When uploading an attachment, be given the opportunity to select/deselect also adding it to the associated company/contact records.  That would give each user control.  Value Added: Support/Customer Success teams would not have to dig for agreements/files inside of deals nor would the sales team have to upload to multiple places.   ...read more

According to HubSpot's Support team, whether a HubDB created Page appears in the XML Sitemap or not can only be controlled at subfolder level.    We have a scenario where a parent page should be indexed by search engines, but the many pages within the subfolder should not. Unfortunately, this means the entire subfolder of content has to be included in the sitemap so that the parent page is easily indexed.    We've added a noidex code to the subpages, but at scale this is a huge number of pages we're telling search engines to crawl via the XML sitemap, only to then say "don't index".   And the result is that we have thousands of these noindex pages clogging up Google's crawls of the site, and significantly delaying the indexation of new content.    A solution like a Yes/No column in the HubDB table that says "Include XML Sitemap" would be ideal. We've tried developing one, but it is not being recognised by HubSpot and is being overridden by the Subfolder rule mentioned above. ...read more

This feature request is something that many have asked for in the past. When you either have the manual tracking code embedded on the site or utilizing a CMS module that integrates HubSpot into your site (like WordPress), it tracks all forms.  You can get around this to a point by utilizing modern form modules (WP Forms for example) that have native integrations with HubSpot that basically causes the form to be seen as a native form versus a non-HubSpot form.  If you have login forms, or other sensitive data type forms then sometimes these forms are included. I realize that "sensitive" data isn't tracked per se...but then you still get a ton of entries for logins, non-marketing forms, etc. There have been plenty of work arounds over the years, but it's definitely time to get this resolved fully for the HubSpot customers/community.  I envision that to make this easy, in the HubSpot Admin you could toggle individual "tracked" forms that appear and block them from sending any notifications on a form by form level, and/or just stop tracking them completely.
