Selective Sync from Salesforce to Hubspot
We should be able to filter only some Salesforce leads to sync into Hubspot, similar to the Inclusion List which limits the sync from Hubspot to Salesforce.
I would love to be able to filter out particular contact and lead record types, in particular. I don't need all my vendor's contact info to be in Hubspot.
Salesforce recommends controlling access to certain records within a Salesforce organization using Salesforce’s native permissions. With this in mind, we’ve written a recommended guide to achieve Selective Sync from Salesforce to HubSpot: https://www.hubspot.com/salesforce-selective-sync

This is a very poor solution. As many of your customers are software vendors ourselves, we know that it is not that hard to have an option to allow new contacts/leads to come over from SF or not and make it a configuration setting. Please provide a more acceptable solution.
Much needed feature. Any idea how long this will be in Beta?
Seriously, this is important. We also are doing prospecting using Salesforce as the primary DB with 10,000+ contacts. We do not want HubSpot to charge us for all these contacts as we do not want to send marekting emails to everyone we prospect.
Additionally, when a prospect does get interested - we are unable to enroll our Salesforce contacts into workflows. Why? Because unless the contact is already sync'd with HubSpot, HubSpot does not allow you to enroll them in a workflow.
This seems to be evil on the part of HubSpot, forcing us to pay more for contacts by syncing all our Salesforce contacts into HubSpot - whether or not we actually want to email them.
A selective sync feature would be a huge win for my company!

This would solve so many issues for our company and I'm sure many, many others.

It would be great to have this feature given the fact that every Salesforce instance is different. Having the ability to only turn on/off contact and/or lead syncing is very limiting. Being able to sync a subset of contacts and leads would be ideal - even if the functionality is driven by one field (i.e. all leads and/or contacts with HubSpot checked sync to HubSpot).

I would like a selective synch button, due to the fact that if a contact is added to Salesforce without an email it doesn't synch - even after an email is added to the record. Currently using the import from a campaign method but that is a multi-step process (which to my knowledge can't be automated). It would just be SO much better if my sales rep could just push a synch now button.

We also would like to exclude our vendor contacts from Syncing to Hubspot. Creating a smart list and manually deleting them is not a good solution.

I guess I don't understand what the problem is. SFDC can create leads (and contacts) in HubSpot when they're created in SFDC, why can't there be a "push" button for an individual record to be moved to HS?
This is one of the biggest limitations of HubSpot for me personally, the one I was most seriously contemplating over choosing another platform over HubSpot.
We have tons of contacts in SFDC that we don't want going over HS, because our sales reps are doing prospecting in SFDC and we don't want to email these people (they also don't expect us emailing them). Once Sales reach them, and they give us permission to send marketing communications, they uncheck the opt-out box, and it would be the perfect timing to push them to a workflow, but if we don't sync them with SFDC, it will not be possible.

This is a much requested feature, but adds a ton of overhead to supporting the integration, so we cannot commit to this feature at this time.
In the meantime, you can selectively import from campaigns in Salesforce with one click as a workaround.
I think the idea is that one should be able to limit records from being updated/created in HubSpot to only those that meet a certain criteria. So we want to mirror the inclusion list functionality, but in the opposite direction- preventing certain records from coming into HubSpot in the first place.

Thanks for the idea! Doesn't the inclusion list functionality cover your specific use case? Where would you like to see another option for selective Salesforce sync?
