Integrate with WeChat
HubSpot should look more to the integration with China based social networks,. Wechat, the mobile facebook of China is now reaching 600millions and aggressively going to the western countries.
Integrating with Wechat and Weibo is not currently a priority, but is something that we’ll keep an eye on as our customer base expands to use those networks.
This idea is declined for now, but we will reopen it when we revisit it.
We are using your platform for all across the world, we are now thinking of integrating Hubspot to market further FRAMECAD in China and we would like to use the social media publishing for WeChat, is that something you have been working on since the last request? it is very important for us. we would like to be able to use the platform to publish blogs on our Chinese website which we are about to develop.
Would love to see hubspot integrate WeChat:). WeChat is the only communication tool in China. I'm not sure when we last used email to prospect.
We expanded our Swiss-Sino business recently and also need WeChat urgently. There are 762 m users from which are 100 m outside China.

I've read every comment in here. In fact this is my first comment in Hubspot. There's a few mentioning in China people don't use emails as much. It is indeed right.
People communicate via WeChat more than anything else in China now. WeChat's API had been developed far better than what it was in 2013 or 2014.
I have been seeking my own ways of trying to integrate, eg. finding freelancer on Upwork. There's simply not that many developers out there knowing both platforms inside out like there are people developing for Salesforce.
Solve the WeChat and Weibo problem, and make it native from Hubspot = gaining all the crm customers who is trying to use Inbound Marketing with the Chinese market. I think everyone on this page would agree with me. I assure you that this ROI from is well worth it.
I demand it big time. And am currently seeking all sorts of integration solutions. I'm going to describe a few features below, which I do not see is hard to achieve.
1. More and more companies have WeChat "Service Account", it is an account where people add it as a friend, and will access directly with the company's service agent. Anyone who adds it as their "friend" would be a lead or a contact who is somewhat interested in your products or services.
2. The conversation with the Service Account should be logged!!
3. Companies build minisites on WeChat, even in the Menu of the Service Account, visitors are able to do all sorts of things (I won't go into details). These activities should be tracked and loggled!!
4. WeChat service account allow you to post articles or messages (with Service Account 4 times a Month, with Subscription Account 1 time every 24 hours) to all your subscribers, this is crucial towards Inbound Marketing. These messages or articles can be very or extremely educational, which will gain reactions from the visitors, forms can be filled out within it, and more info gathered.
5. Embed (or have an option to embed) the WeChat chat box next to emails and calls of the Contact page. If a WeChat user is active, what we can do is chat with them unlimited! This bit is essential. So the chatting function is native within Hubspot.
Hey, if you are considering WeChat. I'm happy to provide support and work along with Hubspot for this development, and participate in Beta testing etc. I'm sure I'm able to provide you loads of advices on integrating this.
And if money is really the issue? I'm sure these fellas underneith would agree with me that everyone would want the WeChat features, and lets each chip in a bit. (sorry i honestly didn't meant any insult)
You're probably aware that how much tweeter meant for us inbound marketers. Well, WeiBo is the tweeter in China... I won't go into too much details on how to integrate. Do the same as what it is for tweeter. It'll be heaven's glory for our company.
Has anyone been able to find a work around or another service that works? Wechat integration is make or break for me, and is the only thing keeping me from signing up for Hubspot.

It's not clear why HubSpot would close this idea when it clearly has traction with your customer base. We have sales staff who communicate with Asia-Pac customers solely through WeChat and transferring that activity manually to HubSpot is a real pain.

I'm just putting my vote towards implementing Weibo for the HubSpot Platform. The only thing we do that sits outside of HubSpot is Weibo, hopefully if there's enough requests we can have it included in future updates. As an Australian business China is a critical market for us.

We are looking for a way to seamlessly transfer leads captured via WeChat into Hubspot. While our Wechat prospects don't use much emails, they do visit our web pages and we therefore want to give them the best personalized experience. Thanks!
We are now in 2016! I would like to see WE Chat intergrated with Hubspot, so I can chat with all globally. When will this be available?.

Just wanted to update this thread since it's been growing steadily. Because of the breadth of the WeChat app and investment it would require, it's not something that we're able to put a lot of resources into currently. We know that this is a growing issue especially in the Chinese market (which is a pretty big one), and plan on revisiting this issue next year. Please continue to vote and describe how you'd like to integrate WeChat and HubSpot here because your feedback is incredibly helpful in shaping how we build things moving forward.

Are we the only users outside of the US with this requirement?
Any thoughts about when Hubspot might add Wechat? Most communication goes through this Wechat platform not email. Thanks.

As David says, people in China don't really use email like we do, therefore the entire concept of workflows with email as the communication tool doesn't work very well in China.
Wechat is way more than a just a social tool in China now and how people subscribe to information (like blog subscriptions), shop online, pay bills, transfer money. We don't want to be late to the WeChat party by not supporting any integration at all.

Our prospective clients in China don't use email. Email is how they get their water bill. They are exclusively mobile with WeChat, QQ, etc because its easier to get through the government filters.

This is a massive network growing for China, Indonesia, Taiwan etc...
